Workshop Day 2

Interpreting benchmarking results with BenchmarkInsights

Abstract

Benchmarking studies are critical for assessing method performance. This workshop is for researchers who want to learn different ways of visualising and comparing method performance after running a benchmarking study. It will use the benchmarkInsights module from our R package BenchHub that provides a series of functions to visualise benchmarking results. The session will begin with a brief background on benchmarking metrics, followed by a hands-on session where participants will:

  • interact with benchmarkInsights class
  • generate summary visualisation
  • inspect method performance across methods and datasets
  • identify robust methods
